THE ORIENT SQUARE Building

The Orient Square (officially The Orient Square Building or Orient Square IT Center) is a towering first-class high-rise building located along Ortigas Center’s main road, F. Ortigas Jr Rd (formerly known as Emerald Avenue).

The Orient Square Building  is 160 sqm tall. It is the highest building in F. Ortigas Jr and the 5th tallest building in Pasig City. It has 38 storeys and 7 basement levels.

The Orient Square building is an architectural gem of R. Villarosa Architects. It is considered a modern Ortigas Center landmark due to it’s beautiful all-glass facade. It was completed in 1999 by Daiichi Properties and Development.

In January 2006, the Philippine Export Zone Authority declared the Orient Square Building as an Information Technology Center, giving its locators the option to avail of PEZA incentives.

Orient Square Location

The Orient Square building stands along F. Ortigas Jr. Road. The building also has an access point on Ruby Road. It stands between Emerald Building and Agustin Building within the Ortigas Center Central Business District.

It is a few blocks away from other major office and residential buildings (Asian Development Bank, San Miguel, Wynsum Corporate Plaza and Strata Buildings), hotels (Discovery Suites and Oakwood Premier), bars and restaurants (Metrowalk and El Pueblo de Manila) in the area, as well as large shopping malls (The Podium, SM Megamall, St. Francis Square, Robinsons Galleria and Shangri-La Plaza) and other major landmarks.

Prominent tenants in the Orient Square building are Standard Chartered, Citibank, Emerson Network Power, 7-11, Banco De Oro, Sunlife, Nextel, and Exxon Mobil among others.

How To Get To Orient Square

It is easy to get to the Orient Square Building. There are actually many ways to get there.

If you’re coming from EDSA South Bound, take the fly-over going into Ortigas Center. It is the left-most fly-over and it turns left into Ortigas Avenue. Turn right into F. Ortigas Jr. Rd. The Orient Square is the 4th building from Strata 100 after Hanston Building, Wynsum Corporate Plaza and Emerald Building. It is on the right side of the road.

If you’re coming from Greenhills, just go along Ortigas Avenue, cross EDSA and turn right into F. Ortigas Jr. Rd.

If you’re coming from EDSA North Bound, you have two options. First, you can turn right on Ortigas Avenue and just follow the directions above. Second option is to turn right at Shaw Blvd, turn left at San Miguel Avenue, turn right at Julia Vargas and turn left at F. Ortigas Jr Rd. You will need to make a U-turn in front of Strata 100 to get to Orient Square.

If you’re coming from C-5, you also have 2 options. You can go into Ortigas Avenue heading towards Ortigas Center, turn left at Meralco Avenue, turn right at Onyx, turn right at Garnet and turn left at F. Ortigas Jr. Rd. You can also go into Julia Vargas and head towards Ortigas Center. Turn right in F. Ortigas Jr. Rd and make the U-turn in front of Strata 100.

If you are commuting you can take a bus or MRT and alight at Robinson’s Galleria. There are jeepneys on the side of Robinson’s along Ortigas Avenue going into Ortigas Center. Just tell the driver to drop you off at Orient Square.

Orient Square Building Features

Its features include a fully unitized curtain wall, a computerized and comprehensive building and facility management, centralized cooling system with individual control, powerful communication facilities using fiber optics and digital technology and provision for LAN/DATA and efficient lift management. The Orient Square building also has 100% backup power. These are the requirements to get a building PEZA-certified.

The Orient Square building has amenities that include 12 high-speed elevators, including two below-ground elevators and one full-speed service elevator, 7 basement levels for car parking, 6-level concrete podium as its base, helipad on the rooftop, skylounge and observatory near at the top, function rooms, main lobby, security gates, convenience store, food and bake shop, and banks.
